Important notes!

Black Diamond transportation has a zero tolerance policy on the use of alcohol by minors as well as illegal drug use. Absolutely no drugs or alcohol is permitted in the vehicles for prom packages under any circumstance. Any violation will result in the termination of the job contract without refund of monies.

Drivers have the right to deny entry of any intoxicated passenger into the vehicle.

20% non-refundable deposit is required on all prom packages

For your protection!

Every year there are scammers who market themselves as limousine companies, take reservations and huge deposits (usually 50% or more) who are not really limousine companies. Prom night comes around, the money is paid, and no limo shows up. Protect yourself by checking out the company before you send money. View the vehicles, visit their place of business, check local phone directories or the better business bureau, etc.

Avoid improperly registered vehicles. New York State DOT has been cracking down on limousines that are not registered properly. Any limousine that has a seating capacity of more than 14 passengers (not including the driver) MUST be DOT inspected and registered as a BUS in New York State. (The license plate will say "BUS" on the bottom for vehicles seating MORE than 14; where as vehicles seating 14 or less will say "LIVERY", "TLC", Westchester County T&LC" or "Nassau County T&LC " on them. There are different inspection and insurance requirements on the larger vehicles for passenger safety. If an improperly registered vehicle is stopped at a check point, you may be left stranded without a ride.

Different areas have different rules regarding limousines in their jurisdiction. Westchester County, for instance, requires that the driver and vehicle be licensed with the county taxi & limousine commission in order to drop off or pick up in the county. Federal USDOT laws require that a limousine taking passengers across a state line be USDOT registered and have a motor carrier number. If your prom location isn't in your immediate home area, make sure your limousine company is properly registered to go into the area your prom is.
